Aalisha
…from West Palm Beach, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, along with a Master of Music in Screen Scoring from New York University.
As a film composer, Aalisha has scored dozens of short films, animations, and other screen media projects. She is best known for her experimental horror and thriller scores, where she often manipulates her own vocals to create otherworldly soundscapes. Aalisha won “Best Music Score” in the MultiDimension Independent Film Festival in May 2023, and was nominated for "Original Music" at the Watersprite International Festival in February 2024.
In her songwriting, Aalisha doesn’t restrict herself to any one genre. Her discography includes rock, jazz, and most recently alt pop songs, which she records, mixes, and produces herself, usually mastered by mentor and collaborator Jamie Lawrence. Her lyrics are witty, detailed, and often unexpected.
In addition to her solo artist career, Aalisha has fronted, led, and written songs for multiple rock bands. She frequently performs with her current band DUCK! around New York City, where she is now based.
Aalisha Jaisinghani is an award-winning classical and jazz pianist,
